Alexander Ebert - Truth

For our first dialogue piece, I selected Alexander Ebert's "Truth", which has become one of my favorite songs as of late.

My initial concept was very western.  The grittiness, and earthiness of the folk song was evocative of golden sunsets, gunslingers, horses and cattle.  Thinking about it again, I probably would have chosen a different color palette.

I ultimately came to the conclusion that the song transcended it's folk category and at it's heart addressed the difficulties of facing one's own self.  I thought about how easy it is to criticize others when I observe and recognize their faults, but how difficult it is to recognize and accept my own problems and bad habits.
